blue95 0 Posted March 9, 2006 Hi folks, Needed some advice regarding paint! Basically my Cs bonnet requires repainting, I have been given two options: 1. Spray just the bonnet. 2. Spray bonnet and wings to blend in. My question is, if I go for option 1 (cheaper option), because of the colour of the car (very dark pearl blue) will any colour mismatch still show, or will it be less obvious? Icegeezer 0 Posted March 9, 2006 if you just spray the bonnet there will more than likly be an obvious mismatch due to age of the pain, if the bodyshop blow into the wings this will hide the paint variation and show less/no paint mismatch
corradophil 3 Posted March 9, 2006 If you have to save money, see if they can blow in the tops of the wings to the fold in the wing. The change in angle will disguise the colour a little, but to be honest unless the colour match is really good, your better off having the wings blown in properly. Do it once and do it right, rather do half a job, send six months being unhappy with it, and ending up getting the bonnet and wings sprayed again. blue95 0 Posted March 9, 2006 Yep, think in the back of my mind I know it makes sense! Guess I will go for the full whack and just put the suspension on holf for now. Thanks
