edd 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Right not one to take advantage of a friend in need..... i have a pal who having installed an new engine in his C now can't get it running properly, so needs a bit of professional help. Having said that he's now skint and can't afford to get it back on the road. Now its a 16v with black leather interior - the interior is a bit worn on the drivers side back bolster, so that the colour has faded but otherwise not too bad. (how easily can the fading be sorted?) There is talk of an part exchange for my early vr interior - just seats not door cards (so will need to get my cards retrimmed at some point). Bearing in mind its not a necessity to me (i ultimatley would prefer beige leather interior) What do you reckon sounds like a fair offer??!! Thanks for any input Edd
scarlett 0 Posted March 15, 2006 in ok condition for just the seats i'd say 400 quid... if, however you dont take it and decides to split to sell, i'll take the rear bench off his hands... :)

edd 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Really that much!! even in part-x for my cloth. jeees i must be a tight arse. :)
ZippyVR6 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Good full sets of leathers go for about 6-700 with door cards dont they? Reckon 400 might be a bit steep if is in tatty condition. bearing in mind that a retrim in fresh cow starts of at about 800.
bristolbaron 11 Posted March 15, 2006 from the sounds of it i wouldnt give him more than £200 + yours personally, especially being just seats. Does depend on condition though..
Walesy 0 Posted March 15, 2006 I'm with the Baron , if it's in bad nic, and without doorcards it's not worth much.
scarlett 0 Posted March 15, 2006 sorry - did nt notice the bit that said you were handing over your cloth for it too... if your part ex-ing then i'd agree with the boys and say no more then £200 plus your cloth.... :)
edd 0 Posted March 15, 2006 cool £200 is exctly what i had in mind, not sure he'll agree mind. So what about getting the bolster back to its original colour is it possible?? ..expensive??
bristolbaron 11 Posted March 15, 2006 i think the only way to restore the colour properly is connollising. By using leather care creams etc you will darken the colour though. http://www.clean-image.co.uk/leather_upholstery.htm You could try the above chaps, there was a thread about this last year! [edit] http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... nnollising that one!
