ardandy 0 Posted March 20, 2006 As my C has just taken a shat all over my drive with its oil, I was wondering if anyone here knows of a good product to remove such staines off a driveway? It's 6 month old block paving drive. Can't wait for the missus to come home!

dr_mat 0 Posted March 20, 2006 There's a reason they always throw sand onto oil spills on the roads you know ... It's not just to improve grip, it soaks the oil up off the surface too.
ZippyVR6 0 Posted March 20, 2006 Gunk for driveways works well, good for the stains under each wheel after using wonder wheels, Halfrauds will do it, in a 3 litre drum next to the gunk type products. If you have a jut wash it is even more effective. Building sand will work too but probably not before the missus comes home.
ardandy 0 Posted March 20, 2006 Even for oil thats been down for a few months? I thought I'd need detergent?
ZippyVR6 0 Posted March 20, 2006 :)Seriously, It works. It is a degreaser with detergant and will get rid of oil.:) It will clean up your engine bay after too.
StuartFZR400 0 Posted March 20, 2006 Seriously, no it doesnt work. Infact I dont let Gunk get onto my driveway because that stains too, you gotta wet the drive first. An old oil stain is there to stay, unless someone knows of a specific product that does this; the brick blocks are very porus and you will struggle. Gunk is great for getting oil & grease off metal and paint etc; never let it get on rubber.
