Fitting black diamond brakes disc

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Am about to have my discs replaced with some new Black Diamonds for the front and rear.

Is this an easy thing to do, and do I need to buy anything else for it? I heard that I may need new rear wheels bearings for the rear, is this true?

Thanks

Ian

Hiya,

The fronts are no real challenge - even I managed that. However the rears look a little more tricky.

Be a good idea to change bearings if you are whipping the back ones off, I got my local garage to do this.

Good luck

Yup, you'll want new rear bearings for the rear disks as well. If you're careful you can press them in yourself, but if you're unsure, get a local garage to do it. It won't take them long.

Yeah, worth noting that the rear bearings press into the disks, hence it being advisable to change them at the same time, rather than it just being a random suggestion
