Which end has it snapped?

First thing you need to do is lift the grill and pull it out (I snapped the tabs on mine in the end but you may not need to)

You should then be able to find the cable outer that crosses the middle of the slam pannel... If it has gone at the clamp end (near side) then hold the end of the cable with some mole grips and pull the handle - this should release the off side!

Now the hard bit - bend a coat hanger and fish about for a while until you find the mech on the near side and then release it by pulling in towards the off side!

(do a search for more info on this)

Mine went a week ago but lucky for me Dave was round with his VR so we had something to base our 'fishing' with the coat hanger on! There's a lot of info on here already too... use the search ;)

You can pop the bonett without doing the grill.

Slide under the front of the car. Prob have to jack her up for this. You will need a small torch and a long flat bladed screw driver.

With torch you are looking for the openings where the bonett pins slide home. once found you put torch in mouth and use the driver to slip the spring steel arm as you do this the bonett pins will release.

Hope it helps
