Can Anyone Tell Me Why My MFA says MPG 99.9? The Time Clock on it is right, Oil temp works, It's just the MPG says 99.9! :(

i would say you vac hose may of become disconected from the clocks.. 99.9 is the default mpg if i remember correctly

Where can I find this vac hose? Would I have to go digging in the dash or is it under the hood?

As Darren said - it plugs into the back of the clocks on a G60. So probably the best place to start ;)

i can remember reading about this in a vw mag i will try and dig it out

right had a look in the mags and found the article in volkswagen driver. it says it could be due to a faulty speed/hall sender. the hall sender can be checked with a multimeter. one turn of the wheel should produce four voltage jumps from 0v to 5v.

Sounds like it's the same problem, just different measurement units.

well, it kind of goes up to 0.1 or 0.3 liters per 100 km every once in a while. I think the back of the clocks is fine.
