Wheel refurbishment

Recommended Posts

Bought some Dare wheels just over 12 months ago and they've already stared to Corrode!??! I know that they're not the most expensive things going, but I'm really not impressed!

Does anyone know if all wheels can be refurbished, as I was told that as they have a polished rim that they can't??... Not sure how true that is??

They looked like this new: (see pic)

Will post a pic of their current condition, if anybody thinks it would be useful to answer this question!

Thanks all!

In basic 'sparkle silver', I paid £220 to refurb a set of Speedlines and £250 to do some 17" BBS RX.... Size, wheel complexity & finish (several available) determine the price, so split rims etc usually cost a lot more to repair.... as do kerb mark welding and buckle straigthening etc.

my local tyre fitter is an agent for pristine and when in there the other week he showed me their work on a set of AMG merc wheels. to put it bluntly you could not tell they had ever been on a car. Fantastic quality,
