Dredgey 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Bought some Dare wheels just over 12 months ago and they've already stared to Corrode!??! I know that they're not the most expensive things going, but I'm really not impressed! Does anyone know if all wheels can be refurbished, as I was told that as they have a polished rim that they can't??... Not sure how true that is?? They looked like this new: (see pic) Will post a pic of their current condition, if anybody thinks it would be useful to answer this question! Thanks all! Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 13, 2006 That polished rim won't be a problem for most refurbishers. http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk are very highly regarded on here. I've had two sets of wheels done with them and they came back looking brand new!
gaz the geezer 0 Posted April 13, 2006 I've had two sets of wheels done with them and they came back looking brand new! if you dont mind me asking kev, what was the price for a set to be done ?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 13, 2006 In basic 'sparkle silver', I paid £220 to refurb a set of Speedlines and £250 to do some 17" BBS RX.... Size, wheel complexity & finish (several available) determine the price, so split rims etc usually cost a lot more to repair.... as do kerb mark welding and buckle straigthening etc.

ZippyVR6 0 Posted April 14, 2006 my local tyre fitter is an agent for pristine and when in there the other week he showed me their work on a set of AMG merc wheels. to put it bluntly you could not tell they had ever been on a car. Fantastic quality,
