GSF Part number for Fast road pads

Recommended Posts

I'm just about do the rear discs\bearings and put MK4 calipers on.

After much searching around i've found the best pads are the Pagid Fast Road MK3 GTI ones, does anyone have the GSF part number to hand ??

Thanks,

Dan

Aaaaactually - the Mk4 ones are the best ones to get

You can just about squeeze them into the calliper so you might as well bung them on.

There seems to be 2 types of pads for the mk4:

64329F - BRAKE PAD SET-PAG.FAST RD

64327F - BRAKE PAD SET-PAG.FAST RD

The 64329F are for most models and the 64327F are for the V5 and the 1.8 150bhp Turbo. Which ones do i get ??

So long as the friction material is the same thickness and the pad profile is the same, either will do.

I had GSF get *all* of the MK2/MK3/MK4 based pads out and we compared them on the counter. Apart from the very late MK4s with the 256mm vented setup, the pads were all identical in profile. The only difference was the friction material thickness.

Or get them from the dealer if doubt, they're better anyway actually.

Are you sure they are the MK3 pads ? They come up as MK2 on the GSF site:

Just quoted what it says in their book.

The website is more comprehensive.

Yep - the dealer MK4 ones have the adhesive backing but you need to sand them down a bit to fit....

If you're careful in avoiding the piston seal to pinch on the caliper/pad, you can wind the piston in far enough to get the MK4 pads over 10mm discs no worries ;-)

Thanks everyone, i've got the mk4 pads. I've just realised they are normal ones instead of fast road. How much difference does this make, should I swap... or just stick with these ?
