Big water leak!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Had a rather large 'water leak' yesterday. The first I noticed was overheating and when I pulled over and stopped the engine I could hear a fairly strong leak!

I can see it too. Down to the right of the engine block kind of below the engine multi-plug but a bit further towards the fron of the car. Can't get a good look, but it was absolutely p*ssing water from there.

There is also a nasty rattly noise (bottom end??).

Any ideas what's happened? Water pump or worse?

Many thanks

Will

Yep, behind the coilpack.

Rattling noise is motor bearings inside the pump mate, they're fubar!

New pump is about £65 from the dub ya IIRC

Sounds like the kiddie :-)

I would phone them and ask them to physically go and see if it's on the shelf....GSF are feckers for that. They told me a part was on the shelf so I drove 20 miles to get it during a lunch break, only to get there and find it wasn't on the shelf at all, and wasn't in stock either. Useless morons.

I just don't bother with em anymore. Dealer all the way from now on.

Good excuse to vent some anger on someone who deserves it though :)
