STORM 2 0 Posted May 18, 2006 Yes i know theyre BBS  but which style? Are they RXs? Another thing - theyre fitted with R16 tyres but physical measurement across the diameter of the wheel measures just ove 17 inches :?: Is this something to do with the fact that theyre two piece wheels? cheers
double-6s 0 Posted May 18, 2006 Which wheels are we looking at mate? Can't see any pics?
double-6s 0 Posted May 18, 2006 The rim sticks out further than the bit that the tyre actually sits in, so that would explain the 17 inch thing btw Surely you know that already though?
STORM 2 0 Posted May 18, 2006 sorry, forgot to put up the pics  The rim sticks out further than the bit that the tyre actually sits in, so that would explain the 17 inch thing btw Surely you know that already though? Does that mean that there can be a 1.5 inch difference between measured diameter and actual rim diameter. How can you measure the alloy wheel diameter accurately on a wheel without taking off the tyre?
was8v 0 Posted May 18, 2006 BBS RXII as supplied on 16x6.5 format on mk 4's and 16x7 on Mk3 anniversary models. I've been tempted by em a few times, very prone to corrosion of the rim lip. The diameter of the rim is measured where the bead of the tyre sits.
