mine just had nut and bolt fittings, in 4 places, 2 at each end/edge and 2 at the front, all 10mm

is that what you meant?

im thinking that there is a bit of metal sandwiched between the bumper and the spoiler. My car had never had a spoiler so im just checking what’s needed before my new one arrives

So I don’t really know what im looking for but thats sounds promising :-)

uhhh are you talking about this:

chin.jpg

my standard front

the spoiler at the bottom?

if so it just kinda clips on (with tabs moulded on the spoiler) and then bolts on

when I was talking about the 'edge' where you have a bolt, Its pretty much where my very artistic arrow is pointing, the other two at 'the front' are on the corners at the front

cool, so basically its just bolted on via the holes in the spoiler, like that one you can see in your second pic?

this doesnt sound that hard :-)

im pretty sure that originally there is a metal plate that allows the use of the self tapping style bolts (no nuts needed then)

but sounds like nuts/bolts are fine anyway from what ']['H3R4POR is sayin 8)

edit:jesus i was slow typing that!

piece of p*ss mate.

the plastic clips may take some pursuading to get over/under, but just force them (they won't break, you'll see when you get it).

just a 10mm nut and bolt, I had 4 on mine, plus additional holes, so maybe there should have been more.

good luck

edit: there could have been a plate for self tapping screws, but, the only 'plate' I saw was a sandwiche affair that the plastic clips fitted into, he had to be squeezed together to allow the clips to fit in.

my bolts were rusted to hell, so if they did have self tappers they were well gone years before I got the car, and mine was standard throughout when I bought him, so I doubt the good Doctor (yes, It had a doctor owner before me) removed them

excellent :)

I particularly like my skilled MS Paint work I managed to knock out at beer 'o' clock.

I just detatched and re-attactched the spoiler the same way as it was fitted when I got my grubby hands on it, and tbh I would prefer nuts and bolts to self tappers.
