VR6 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Wow - didn't think I even had a thread anymore! Looking back it's sort of making me all nostalgic! :camp: Don't think I've driven her for about 5 or 6 months now - good way to keep the miles off! Really need to get back on top of modding the C again - keep promising to do it when the weather gets better. Come on, give me some inspiration!

I'm still working on a price for sending you the "good stuff"... Car was lovely and taut and very quick in the summer. :) Don't think I got any photos though... VR6 0 Posted January 21, 2009 Yep, those lights weren't exactly great but what alternatives do we have now, 7 years on? FK's :gag: and angel eyes :gag: Right, think I need to get it sorted out and back on the road again (when the weather gets better! :camp:)

VR6 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Thanks but I'm guessing they don't do all red rears? I think the only thing to do is use some of the red film to tint one of my spare sets, which I'll be doing very soon! For now though, the car currently looks like this .....
Toad 0 Posted April 26, 2009  Good to hear she's getting some attention....

VR6 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Thing is, I just don't know where to stop!! It's like an illness  Part of me says, why not rip the dash out as well and change the heater matrix whilst I'm at it. Not aware that it's been done before so thinking prevention rather than cure when it eventually does go. Then I had another strange thought about getting a respray while everything's in bits but that didn't last too long, as much as I do think it's a good idea. I do have a pretty long list of things I want to do though so should keep me busy for a while.
junkie 0 Posted April 26, 2009 So why is it in bits? Looked mint last i saw...
VR6 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Stuff to do and boredom are about the only explanations I have! Beige carpet, door cards, all other trim Big leather/interior clean Sound deadening everything Revamping the ICE Fitting VAG centre console guage pod Fixing heater controls Sorting heated seat loom Fixing the fact that my MPG displays 99.9 all the time So I figured rip the whole interior out and I may as well do the heater matrix while I'm at it. Plus: Fitting Mocal Coolant/oil/filter change Swapping door handles Changing rear plate surround Fitting OEM+ headlight loom (standard connectors) Fitting new bee-sting aerial Fitting de-cat pipe Getting a few bits of paintwork sorted Might: Buy some tyres and fit them to the mint speedos I have Or Get some new alloys altogether
Walesy 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Does it feel prehistoric after driving the Evo then? or is it still rewarding but different?
Toad 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Can you get more pics of that Bedford Rascal that you sent me please?
VR6 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Does it feel prehistoric after driving the Evo then? or is it still rewarding but different? You've hit the nail on the head with the second statement - absolutely spot on. The C is nowhere near the machine but although it's nowhere near as responsive and tight, it still just feels fantastic! I thought there was something seriously wrong with the C brakes but after a while I think you just remember that they're fecking shocking to begin with! :D I just can't see me selling it, which is weird! Can you get more pics of that Bedford Rascal that you sent me please? Ok, only one though as I know you really love a Rascal. Excuse the car that got in the way of the pic though - fecking Jap-car owners, think they can park anywhere!! Sorry I don't have any more shots of the Rascal :(
