US vs UK instrument cluster

I installed a UK instrument cluster in my car tonight...the speedo and tach seem to work fine...but my coolant temps read higher than normal...same with the oil temp in the MFA.

 

Is the UK cluster calibrated different for celsius?

Yes it is all in degress Centigrade, you might be able to swap the dial face over but the MFA is pre-programmed on the PCB and is specific to LHD/RHD and country. As such get used to centigrade!

I'm not concerened about the centigrade. I'm wondering if the temp needle is supposed to be in the same relative place. My temp needle used to NEVER go past half way...but on the UK cluster the needle moes past halfway.

I would imagine that the temp needle is supposed to be in the same relative place - you can use google to convert between F and C to see if it's working correctly.

 

Have you re-calibrated the speedo though - I think the UK gauges go up to 160mph but the US ones only go to 140?

I think your right about the needle. I'm going to plug in my old cluster to double check. The US only goes to 140.
