ardandy 0 Posted June 23, 2006 A shell garage nr me has just had a full revamp, inc new tanks/pumps etc. It's cheaper than others around but I was wondering if it's not wise to get petrol from a fresh install? Junk in the tanks etc? Or am I thinking about this the wrong way round?
andy 0 Posted June 23, 2006 I wouldn't worry in the slightest, there will be filters at every stage of their system, not to mention your own fuel filter.
madscientist 0 Posted June 23, 2006 Why would new tanks have junk in them? Old tanks may have rust thats fallen in or crap from every tanker that filled it up.
16vradge 0 Posted June 23, 2006 :shocked!: :pale: You worry too much! I worked at a petti in york, they had a refurb and the tanks get drained, relined and refilled, all the system brando spanko - soooo many cars go through those places in a day, they're unlikely to be pumping crud into every1's tanks really are they! Take a deep breath and relax  :-P
