raypau 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Hi guys, I've somehow managed to catch a stone chip in my radiator and now its pissing fluid at hi presures. I've had a temporary fix but just means i can't go very far. So my question is, does anyone know where i can pick up a cheapish rad, i've already checked GSF and Euro Carparts and has anyone had to swap a rad before? Cheers Ray
16vradge 0 Posted June 27, 2006 I've done mine before, wasn't too hard, but I've got a 16v so there's plenty of room to get in at it. My rad was from euro car parts, and came in at just over £50 - don't go too cheap on your parts as they'll only disintigrate in a year or so.

raypau 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Thanks for that. However, I have a VR6 and it has two fan attachments. Were Euro Car Parts any good?
16vradge 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Yeah it seems good to me, it's been on 6 months and still ok. They supply a german brand -called 'Eis'. I've chatted bout this before and someone suggested to remove the front bumper if doing it on a VR, should make it much easier due to restricted clearance in the engine bay. Replace the factory hose clips with worm drive ones too.
Eleanor 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Rads from German & Swedish are quite good too and pretty resonably priced
