JB*13 0 Posted June 29, 2006 Will R32 rims fit on my standard VR? :?: Or will it need slamming, arch work or coil overs???
Phil K 0 Posted June 29, 2006 Don't know what the PCD is on the mkIV but I would suggest that you go for 17's as the largest diameter rim as the ride will be bloody awful on 18's :?
gradeAfailure 0 Posted June 29, 2006 R32 wheels are 5x100 but 18", so they'll be a struggle to squeeze under...
JB*13 0 Posted June 29, 2006 OK, if i go for 17's.. Whats the maximum width i can go for? I would like 9" on the back 8-8.5 on the front? What offset and tyre would i need to go for? Sorry for all the questions, but i have never modified my VR before.
Phil K 0 Posted June 29, 2006 Dub Envy has 8x17'' rims on his VR and doesn't have problems AFAIK - although he's just had the arches pulled to get it sitting lower! I'd guess that thats probably about your limit... I'm running 7.5X17'' Cup 3's and the only problem I have is rubbing on full lock... HTH
JB*13 0 Posted June 29, 2006 Does he have his lowered then? By how much if i went for 8x17's then?

PhatVR6 0 Posted July 2, 2006 they will fit, but the 225/40/18 tyres will be a bit big, and you'll need 215/35/18's
