....been offered an immaculate 1986 Golf GTi Cabrio - white, white cloth trim, blue power hood, Milltek, 86k miles, FSH, 12 months MOT and tax, absolutely immaculate condition for £1800 - any thoughts on whether this is a reasonable price

with the power hood and the low miles i would say that the price isnt to bad. you see them go for a lot more but the price is often not realistic for what you get. just ask your self how much do you want one and how much work you would want to do to one you got. if no work then this seems a good bet

Its for the wife, shes never frgiven me for selling her previous Golf Cabrio and then her Audi Cabrio without telling her, athough she loves her Bora shes missing a convertible - personally I hate MK1 cabrios

looks like a nice example....with these its more a case of you have to pay what you have to pay when a nice one comes up - well something like that.
