Kick Up The Rs 0 Posted July 7, 2006 I'm after a grill / eyebrow spoiler. Lots of options, yet not sure which way to turn. Saw this on Ebay, looks Ok & made from ABS. http://url.the-corrado.net/fd8ad7 Anybody bought from these guys? What about Uk alternatives? Ta
DUB 0 Posted July 7, 2006 I used to have one of these GF bought it for me - is very plasticy and found hard to fit proper like, did'nt bother in the end - kept it standard with black grill badge - looks better to be honest
Guest Posted July 7, 2006 that ebay one is exactly the same as a Rieger. I would watch out for cheap copies as the dimensions need to be pretty accurate, but just from looking at it it looks identical. btw, shorten that link! appology to Dave (see sig for Rieger Grill+EyeBrow)
ardandy 0 Posted July 7, 2006 Just fit my Rieger (ok, bodyshop did). Bought it for £76 delivered. Inc VAT.
Phil K 0 Posted July 7, 2006 From what I've heard they're fairly well made but don't fit over the headlights properly as they're a touch too shoft! People have tried heating them up with a heat gun but they distort quite badly... :?
Guest Posted July 7, 2006 thats the cheap ones and not Riegers Phil. specify or you'll confuse the poor lad and shorten his 3 mile url ;)
Kick Up The Rs 0 Posted July 7, 2006 How's that Link wise? I suppose you pays your money you takes your choice - or words to that effect
DUB 0 Posted July 7, 2006 Yeah that must have been what GF got me as had prob's with end's/corners ended up shashing it up in frustration
Guest Posted July 7, 2006 well the price (as stated above) is 80 quid for a Rieger, so if you could get that one off ebay then you would be saving alot. Plus, don't forget you have to get paint, prep stuff etc (if you don't have it), so to fit a Rieger you are really talking over a ton. I would just be concerned about the fit if I was buying a cheaper one though, but as I say, from that pic it looks identical to both the Riegers I have fitted, except of course the sack of fixings, fixtures, adhensives, and screws that come with a Rieger. If you need any pointers on fixing them then give us a shout, but I found velcro is the secret weapon 8)
DUB 0 Posted July 7, 2006 The one I had just came with stick/tube of adhensive, not the easy'est to work with then again I'd had a bad day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! should of got a Rieger one and had it properly fitted/sprayed etc
Mave 0 Posted July 7, 2006 I tihnk ChrisHill has a spare one, I was meant to buy it off him a while ago but I pulled out because I had no pennies, was selling it cheaper. oops, sorry for going off topic ;)
Guest Posted July 7, 2006 Riegers come with screws for the slam panel, and headlights, loads of Epoxy, rivets, etc etc
Kick Up The Rs 0 Posted July 7, 2006 The piccie on ebay shows some securing screws and rubber washers or similar. Have paint, laquer & and all prep stuff, so could be quite cost effective for me.
