There is talk of them building 500 Coupes and 500 Spyders, all of them with the Maserati 4.2 V8 - been making their mind up for 3 years now though

Why can't manufacturers put their (;-) ) concepts into production ? Cost.

 

Concepts are merely a showcase of ability, not willing, purely to guage public reaction. I do feel as buyers, that we are short changed when they wheel these plastic fantastics onto the display stand, only to receive a shadow of the show car's former self when you get the cheque book out.

 

If the 2008 Corrado/Rocco looks anything like the concept in the flesh, I'll eat the section of pavement outside my house with some mustard. Although, having said that, VW's EOS is pretty much exactly as per the concept.
