matthewb1985 0 Posted July 11, 2006 my mfa reads up to about 65mpg most of the time. i believe there should be a vaccum hose going into the clocks but where does it go as all there is is a black block going into mine? also while i had the clocks out there was a blue hella relay just lying there attached to a blue/white wire?? Mr Sands 0 Posted July 11, 2006 I'm presuming you're not actually getting 65 mpg?

Henny 0 Posted July 12, 2006 2.0 16V doesn't have the vacuum hose to the clocks. It's done from the ECU knowing how much fuel goes through the injectors... not entirely sure what other signals the ECU uses to tell the clocks what to display, but it's probably a VERY good start to check all of the vacuum hoses in the engine bay to ensure you've not got a vacuum leak there... Blue/white wire is the speed sensor wire for the spoiler mechanism control unit, so it's either your control relay, or an old bit of car stereo wiring for an active volume control stereo... sciroccotune 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Hi guys, Im fairly sure that its only Vr's that re all done via the ECU. the 2l16v has a vac pipe to the back of the clocks or at least mine does. The back of those clocks dont even have the place for it to connect. COuld be a case of having later plastics? or maybe my car is odd  edit:i have a spear bit of rear plastic at home ill post a pic for ya later
matthewb1985 0 Posted July 12, 2006 the relay isnt connected to anything but says something about using correct bulbs - wouldn't be from an upgraded light loom??
