my new project...sadly not a rado but still

Recommended Posts

Right due to unforseen circumstances we've had to sell my rado and put the mk2 vr for sale....booo....anyhoo. I need a budget project to bugger around with, thought about buying a cheap rado but didnt really apeal as id end up spending a fortune to get it to the stage where id be happy.

Sooo....always been into Audis, had numerous over the years of all different varieties. Saw this on e38 the other day, and we decided to go for it last night. Hopefully picking it up sat.

Its a 2.2 10v 5-pot quattro Kv engine with a measly 136bhp. Already got koni's and an aftermarket exhaust of some description. The idea is to strip it out and turbo it. Got a few bits and bobs dotted around from my audi days, but the idea is just to have a bit of very very....very very cheap fun.

Cant afford to do expensive power mods so once the turbo's on and running ill be looking at saving weight, as much as possible. Got a set of twin pots from my old s2 that i can put on with some 20v coupe discs. Id like to junk the rims and get a set of compomotive mo's but will wait and see what turns up, luckily same pcd as ford (4x108) fingers crossed something will come up.

The only thing that worries me is the reg plate.....looks like GAY TA....this scares me somewhat...

So wotcha think?
