Dub Style 0 Posted August 12, 2006 Hello all on behalf of my mate who has a g60 and is currently looking at changing the gearbox, firstly is the mk 3 golf gti 16v the best box for the G60 and is it a straight fit. Blue_Joe 0 Posted August 13, 2006 The VR6 Clutch is the best clutch for the G60 and is a straight fit. I'm not sure if the Mk3 16V gti is a straight fit but certainly the Mk2 is. However which is best really is down to the driver!! I preferred having the 1st and 2nd gears out af a VR6 box put into my G60 Bax. But as I said it is a personal preferencde for the gear ratios.
