ardandy 0 Posted September 27, 2006 http://www.executivedetailing.co.uk/content/ Forget any prices and bland images or missing text, it's the layout and general 'feel' of the site I'm trying to gauge. Constructive comments only please. Not sure whether it should have gone in here or off topic so move if necessary! :) Thanks!
chrishill 0 Posted September 27, 2006 quite nice that mate. (starts with a compliment ;)) I've take out the top menu though, theres no real need to have those 4 buttons up the top then the main menu is there on the left, I'd also shift the search thing down to there too. I'd also use a very pale gray for the background, just to make the actual 'site' bit stand out from the whitespace, something subtle like #D7D7D7 would do I reckon. looking good otherwise
Trig 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I like it, nice clean look. I agree with Chris on the pale grey background. Also I still think that picture of your C is slightly out of focus so i'd change that as well. ;) :thumbleft:

Andi 2,147,483,647 Posted September 27, 2006 Erm, isn't that almost a default theme for Joomla? I'm sure the last time I installed Mambo (what it used to be called) it looked almost exactly like that, just with an orangey background.
Petros 0 Posted September 27, 2006 Nice clean layout, and tasteful colours. However, the main table element seems to be a fixed width. This always bugs me, web pages should scale to whatever the browser window width is set to. I know maintaining cross browser support can get a bit trickier, but using relative widths (i.e. in percentages as opposed to pixels) in the element tags should help the site look better regardless of your user's monitor size and screen resolution. Looks great on the whole though!

Working on modifying the various pics and buttons. Just one step at a time.
Slangwerks 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I don't know anything about web design but I know when a site looks clean and professional - and that does, just the job to fit with the name! Should be really good when you've got customer galleries etc on there too.
ardandy 0 Posted November 8, 2006 Had plenty of updates done to it now. Still working on the logo so forget that for now. Thoughts? Please flick through the menu etc and point out anything you don't/do like. Cheers!
