G60 power increase with fmic?

Is there an average power increase when running a front mount intercooler? i know it will probably vary depending whats used but is there an average number?

 

Just that im gonna be putting hella work into fitting one :shock:

Both the golf/Corrado came from the factory with the same power. Albiet the golf with a huge front mount intercooler.

Theres no really increase in power really, afaik, its just that the FMIC works soo much better on the hotter days! really really noticable

So its more a case of capping the power loss in hot weather?

 

Must say it makes a hell of a difference on the rado imo,hot weather = slow as shit. :(

 

Anyone using a sierra cosworth 4x4 intercooler?

i was looking into this b4 my golf fmic?? apparently they fit quite nicely?? and they work quite well aswell...?

Cool,would be good to know how well they work?

 

I like the quality of it,nice depth.Should be a decent compromise size wise as far as pressure drop too?

And i had to go for one because its black 8)

 

Not sure about the fitting,its not just as wide as the radiater but im fitting it in an unconventional and silly,and hard work place...if all goes to plan.

Oh Darren,can you supply an ally co pot fitting to weld into a boost pipe? if so how much m8? :)

Greeny,ill take pics as i go along,but im not sure anyone will like what im gonna do :)

 

May do a 'why not to' as well :lol: lot of work so far today and not got too far with it!

 

Anymore idea's on the co pot thing? etc...

I have a CO pot flange in stainless steel I can cut out of a pipe and send to you or just cut out a section containing the flange ?
