G60 servicing Bournemouth area?

Recommended Posts

The time has come to get the car serviced, last year i took it to jmr and have since been to g-werks for bits but i cant justify travelling this far for just a service so does anyone know of any decent garages here in sunny bournemouth?

obviously i want someone who is up to to the job and knows corrados rather than just a random garage which i may regret? are breeze vw up to the job in poole? im not fussed where it gets done as long as its done properly, any advice please, thanks craig.

I'd always recommend travelling that bit further to get the car serviced by someone who knows and cares about what they are doing. I travel 500 miles to JMR - the time and cost pales into insignificance against the potential costs of things being overlooked by people who just happen to be more local

Hi mate there is a vw specialist in winton, they did valve stem seals on a vr for me once. I think it was called J Shergold Motor Vehicle Repairs but it was a good five years ago now. 01202 512312 Good honest workmanship and knowledgable on corrados.

also the quattro motor company in poole are not bad 01202 667223.

youve also got Regan Motorsjust off Wimborne Road in Winton who regularly serviced the CCGB chairmans Corrado I believe.

Autotechnik on the Lyndhurst Road coming out of Southampton are another option.

Hi Craig,

Apologies for dragging up such an old post, but just wondering which garage you eventually settled on?

I've got my VR booked in at Breeze for the 100k service on Thursday, but would be happy to cancel and put my business elsewhere if you can recommend anyone? Shame Autotechnik aren't in Southampton anymore as they used to take great care of my Rallye. :(

hi mate, not sure where your located but i eventually went to the fair repair centre in poole (01202676003), recommended by guys off the tidy vag site? they did an honest service and i rented a vw polo for the day while they serviced the car, only cost around £4 and i just had to top up the fuel i used!

cars due again soon and if i dont go to g-werks then ill def be going there again! hope this helps

located on banbury road too, postcodes BH17 0SR if you google map it. if your about you should try and make it down to a tidy meet, around the middle of the month!

Cheers Craig - seems there are quite a few to choose from, which is more than can be said of Dartmoor!!!!

Have registered on Tidy Vag and will try and get along to the next meet. Looks like an enthusiastic and friendly bunch of Dub people!

I see you're from Christchurch? My old hunting ground - just moved down from Barton-on-Sea last year and worked in Bournemouth for six years. Miss the area sometimes, but don't miss the traffic!

See you soon.

Just for info for you really, if you liked the guys at Autotecnik in Southampton, I know the garage has closed but the main mechanic that started it up in the first place is still around. Hes called Alan White. I have got his mobile at work and will post it here with in the next few days.

He's just finsihed fixing up my mates VR6, and always does a good job!!

Hope it helps for your next service!!!! :)

Great news - it used to be the place for VAG servicing. Thanks for the tip.
