Guest Posted October 5, 2006 good idea. if it works then get up some pics :) also pics throughout the making could be used on here as a 'how to' too :)
Dredgey 0 Posted October 5, 2006 Will do. I'm hoping it will be relatively easy - I have a design in mind. Should happen next month after pay day so I'll get the pics up around then. Does anyone know of a good source for black leather (or possibly vynal if good enough quality)?
dan 0 Posted October 5, 2006 I thought about installing my phone/mp3 player into the c as well after reading this... it might be of some help to ya. http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-11198_7-6212328-1.html

So rare that 100% of Corrado's that left the factory had them!! ARGH!!

Got my eyes on one of these which means I can control all functions of the i-pod from my head unit, whilst charging it etc. http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_detail.jsp?product_id=12563&taxonomy_id=25-38 Would mean that I can sit the i-pod quite low only revealing the screen (like this very poor mock up pic that I've done!) dan 0 Posted October 5, 2006 I suppose if you already have a Pioneer head unit then thats the proper job. The link I gave talks about an ipod matched to an Alpine head unit, where the ipod is also controlled from the head unit. Although the essential instructions are also there to integrate any mp3 player into the car, you may find them handy when you start the installation, things such as; Step 1: Getting started Step 2: What you'll need Step 3: Assess your car and your car stereo Step 4: Select an interface Step 5: Remove the stereo Step 6: Install connection or hardware Step 7: Some useful extras Step 8: iPod integrated Good luck & a how to for the corrado would be very nice. I agree that you should try it out on a spare console surround cos, to get a replacement for yours would be very, very difficult. Class interior btw
Dredgey 0 Posted October 5, 2006 Cheers mate, was actually looking for some info like this. Same principle as the Alpine as with the Pioneer I guess (got a pioneer minidsic head unit and auto changer) One thing that I don't get though is that they recommend using a dock for the i-pod - wouldn't the i-pod go flying when cornering at speed? Yeah, don't really like hacking my car about so thought I should get a second surround to work on incase things go horribly wrong. Luckily Mikeswagen found one on ebay today which I won for £5... can't be bad! If all goes well then I'll post up some how to pics
