rtc123 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Afternoon all. Just wondering if anyone can give me a clue on this problem with my '93 VR6.... when sat in traffic the clutch not coming back up if it is depressed for more than a few seconds, only happens in first and reverse though. Is the release bearing knackered, and if it is does this mean a whole new clutch is needed? i hope not cos my heater matrix has also just given up the ghost and left me rather skint. Any help much aprreciated :)
Mike Edwards 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Sounds more like a problem with the seals in the master or slave cylinder?
rtc123 0 Posted October 16, 2006 OK thanks for that. Any idea on cost to fix?
Supercharged 2 Posted October 16, 2006 Slave is about £30, look for brake fluid level drop and a pudle ontop of the gearbox

bigbluec 0 Posted October 21, 2006 Slave is about £30, look for brake fluid level drop and a pudle ontop of the gearbox Fluid can also leak inside of gearbox casing from the slave leaving no trace apart from a loss of fluid.
