andyVR6 0 Posted October 19, 2006 seen a few of there things on ebay. think it would work out cheaper to take all the things you want off the car and get them done yourself. if you pay a little extra you can have them back the same day.

vwdeviant 0 Posted November 29, 2006 could try these guys: http://www.customandcommercial.co.uk/ They do air-colled stuff but their Chroming's spot on.... Door strikers are notoriously hard to do as they, well get struck by the door. IIRC They have to be Nickel Chromed wich is harder...
Matt-lmr 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Hi I run lmr, i am sorry to hear some people are not happy with items they have purchased from us, I aim to provide 100% quality parts and if anyone has i problem please contact me as soon as the problem occures and i WILL recitfy it. We supply standard triple chrome plating (the same as all electro plating chrome plating companys all over the uk) This is copper base then protective nickel then chromium plate. This is the normal way everyone does chrome. I think the problem occures only with certain parts, for example with the wing bolts and door strikers if they do get wet either in rain or when washing the car water can get trapped between the bolt and the washer, even with drying the part after it is wet some water may still remain just under where the bolt sits on the washer, this if left will cause rust. many people expect chrome to just last without any care but remember it is really a delicate finish that does require care. and with the increasing popularity of chrome it is becoming more and more seen on daily drive cars, this is fine but when subjected to everyday weather it can have a affect on the chromes life span. If anyone has any question or queries they would like anwsered about chrome plating i will be more than pleased to help. Kind regards matt @ l.m.r liquidmetalrefinement. Furkz 0 Posted May 12, 2007 Matt-lmr, can you chrome a charger housing?
Matt-lmr 0 Posted May 12, 2007 Hi yes it can be done but it is one of the trickiest things for us chromer's to do, because being alloy and also the inner spirals its a headache to do lol! but it can be done. We have to be very carefull with it. The thing really is to see if you can get another casing to be done, that way you can still you the car while it is being done. WARNING *** Stay well away from stuff by emotionless passion *** WARNING I got some 'chrome' bolts off ebay for my other car and they're total sh##e!! Arrived rusty, broken and the finish was done by the work experience boy i think! Had to get paypal involved to get my money back - eventually.
