turbo on a 16v audi 2 litre engine

hi there

m8 of mine wants to turbo his 16v audi engined mk2

its a 2 litre engine

what bits does he need?

problems he may encounter

he is running k-jet with metering head on top of airbox.

First of all he needs to drop the compression from 10.5:1 to around 8.

I've heard k-jet is poop with turbos, not sure if it's different with the audi ones though :)

It's not that there is anything wrong with K-Jet, it just isn't very easy to modify but there are some off the shelf parts and old stock such as Turbo Technics parts that can make it easier. Personally I would just fit a modern 1.8T unit as it is much easier.

if he could afford it i would go for a stand alone fuel system thats what im gonna change to when i get the money, my engine is using K-jet at the moment but it also has a 5th fuel injector in the throttle body which is controlled on its own by a turbo technics unit.
