vwgti 0 Posted November 17, 2006 Hi managed to get a set of 6000k HID Philips kit for less than £200 and wanna put it into my rado. Just wondering can the standard reflectors take the heat? They are deisnged for use in projector headlamps only. Mostly because normal bulbs have caps on them so they only shine light backwards - into the reflectors. They check for that very thorough during what the Dutch call 'APK' (I believe it's called MOT in the UK?) and they didn't have any problems with the beam pattern that my HID's where producing. The set i got is from Philips and there is deflector in them for the H4 style replacement/upgrade kit, so i think I should be ok will fix them in a day or 2 whem i got the time. Beware of the GBP80 ones as hey are from China and poor quality, the ballast & the bulb have been known to blow pretty easily. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
