daves16v 1 Posted December 9, 2006 Got myself another 16v after being without my last one for about 18 months. My priorities didn't include another Rado but when this one came up at a low price AND in great condition I decided to take a look. The bad news - it was in South Wales, 200 miles from Notts  It was well worth the journey though. The total mileage came to 800 miles - there and back to view then same again to collect the car. The car is a 93K 2L 16v in Flash Red. I bought it off 'andiG60' on here. Many thanks to Andi and his mum for making me feel very welcome after the long journeys I had to make. There's nothing major wrong with the car, just a lot of small issues I want to fix early on and then start to think about suspension, wheels etc later. Anyway here's a few pics I took whilst at Andi's place. Ta Dave
Bojmobile 0 Posted December 9, 2006 looks nice mate - like the wheels! You're still part of the family then and don't need to change your username!

daves16v 1 Posted December 9, 2006 Welcome back Andy, nice car youve got yourself there... I think you've got crossed wires - I bought the car off Andi.
Bojmobile 0 Posted December 9, 2006 Dave - what you got planned for it?
daves16v 1 Posted December 9, 2006 Bojmobile, Not a lot immediately, it's SORN at the moment until I can sell my Passat. Gives me time to get things fixed and looking good. I've got a KR inlet Cam to go in a bit later and then probably just lower it and change the alloys. Not really thinking further down the line at the moment, only had the car a week. daves16v 1 Posted December 9, 2006 hmm why not keep the moonroof ? I wasn't so sure at first but think I'll keep the moonroof. Makes the car a little different.
Jim 2 Posted December 9, 2006 Nice one Dave. Definately worth keeping the moonroof IMHO! Nice to see another red rado too :) Glad you're back in the fold again - hope this car works out well for you :)
Bojmobile 0 Posted December 9, 2006 Dave - I like the wheels too - what you thinking of replacing them with? I'd definitely keep the moonroof too - what's the fit like? Was it a good job?
daves16v 1 Posted December 9, 2006 Jim, thanks mate. Bojmobile, Not sure but pretty certain they'll be 16" and maybe 5 or 6 spoke design. The moonroof was already in when I got the car so can't say about the fit until I get it working. Looks good first glance.
