gogsboy 0 Posted December 19, 2006 Is this ok on a VR6 that has 205/40/17's all round or do most who have 17s get a proper spare?
vr6storm 0 Posted December 19, 2006 well as technically you should really only drive with a space saver for a few miles to get a puncture repaired and at a max of 50mph/80 km/h I'd say it would be ok to still keep with 17s
craigowl 0 Posted December 19, 2006 I found it all too easy to speed with spacesaver on - you just forget about it. Keep to 50 in case poleesman spots you.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 19, 2006 I've used a spacer saver with 17s before and it's fine. As with Craigowl, I also forgot it was there and did well over 70 frequently, LOL!
B4LJX 0 Posted December 19, 2006 quick question for people not running corrado wheels i.e porsche, merc etc do you have a spare saver for that wheel eg, if ur running porsche wheels do u have a porche spacer saver??
Supercharged 2 Posted December 19, 2006 If your using adapters then it may be easier to have a wheel that fits the adapter so you can change it easily in an emergency - I have an audi 5 by 112 space saver but Porche use 130 PCD. Also check the rolling radius of the alloys roughly match that off the SS.
carpy25 0 Posted December 19, 2006 if possible aways put the space saver on the rear (if your running the same width and offset all round ) its worth the extra wheel swap and so much safer i read somewhere it was like 3 times safer Rob
