Using a space saver

Recommended Posts

well as technically you should really only drive with a space saver for a few miles to get a puncture repaired and at a max of 50mph/80 km/h I'd say it would be ok to still keep with 17s

I've used a spacer saver with 17s before and it's fine.

As with Craigowl, I also forgot it was there and did well over 70 frequently, LOL!

If your using adapters then it may be easier to have a wheel that fits the adapter so you can change it easily in an emergency - I have an audi 5 by 112 space saver but Porche use 130 PCD.

Also check the rolling radius of the alloys roughly match that off the SS.

if possible aways put the space saver on the rear (if your running the same width and offset all round ) its worth the extra wheel swap and so much safer

i read somewhere it was like 3 times safer
