g-werks VR6 oil cooler kit

Recommended Posts

I have been looking at getting an oil cooler kit from stealth racing. But I thought I would have a look on g-werks site.

They advertise a vr6 installation kit for £90. So that on top of a 13 row cooler which is only around £60 comes in cheaper than stealth.

My question is has anyone installed one of these kits? Does it come with the same stuff as the stealth racing kit?

Thanks

Moving to Suppliers Forum as this isn't a thread about a technical issue, moreso a question about a supplier ... funnily enough :D

any more news on this kit (i.e anyone used it already) as would be very interested in bagging one myself for later in the year!

have u tried askin G-man (darren) on here?

I did, but I am not sure what comes in a stealth kit so couldnt say what it 'should' come with.

But yeah you make sense (first day back from holidays so not quite on the ball!)

Cheers

I'm droping my VR off at G-Werks this weekend so hopefully will try to get to see one of these kits in the flesh

The stealth kit comprises :-

13 row Mocal cooler

80 degree take-off plate

longer centre tube

Alloy end cap

2 O rings

3M of high pressure rubber hose (braided chafs through everything it touches unless you use P clips).

4 Push fit hose ends (2 x straight and 2 x 90 degree)

If you get all that for £150 with the G werks kit, it's a damn good deal. Stealth's prices when I bought mine was something like £250 IIRC, but thinking back, the takeoff plate ancilleries had to be custom made to suit the VR, so things have obviously changed since.....
