Do you know who makes them? dr_mat reckons that it's worth buying VAG, though if these ones turn out the same price as the ones you got, I could always replace them again for the about the same total price! :)

 

Yeah but my point is that if they compromise the handling of the car for the two years that they last, that's two years I'd spend waiting for them to fail so I'd have an excuse to replace them. Don't let that happen to you ...

I guess I'll have to pop along & see my favorite dealership again then...Damn, I swore I would give them no more of my hard earned cash!! :lol:

Apologies, I've just found thisby using the search facility!!! :oops:

 

I've read through this post (thanks mrbeige) but I'm still confused as to how the front bolt next to the sump comes off? As the sump is in the way, the bolt won't actually come off. Any ideas?
