My mate just turned up in this!!!

He went to our local VW specialist and said he liked the car on the forecourt. They know him as we're regular customers, and said he could take it for the night if he wanted to show his wife, to see if she liked it, he obviously obliged!!!

my mate had an older s4 and took me round castle coombe in it and that thing shifted.

 

he now has a newer one and its a beast - brilliant noise.

 

I bet you he buys it.

Even the older model S4 with the 230 bhp V5 Turbo engine that my colleague has is a beast, as I found out again recently, when I was handed the keys :-)

Eric,you not getting mixed up with the V6 S4 twin-turbo and the old Five-pot Audi 80 S2,there? I was always under the impression that the V6 twin-turbo S4 had nearer 260bhp I know the 5cylinder(straight-5) S2 had 230bhp

Audi S4 has 265BHP 2.7 V6 twin-turbo engine and early (3B) 2.2 20V 5-cylinger turbo-engined S2's have 220BHP and later S2's have the 230BHP (ABY) engine ;-)

The first s4 was was based on the audi 100 circa 1993 onwards (often referred to as the urs4) this also came with the 2.2 20v 5pot turbo. (forgotten code for the minute) esentially same as the aby in that had coilpacks as oposed to the early 5-speed s2 that had a dizzy.
