Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 14, 2007 Just a note to those of you that have a worn bolster and need to replace it, hurry up, there's only 2 left and then they're on back order......which could be 1 week, or 1 year before you see it! £25, 20-30 mins to change. davidwort 0 Posted February 14, 2007 suppose you could use a passenger side right bolster from an old seat, they don't seem to be different.

DanVW 0 Posted February 15, 2007 Anyone know the part# for the bolster? A quick search turned up a few threads with people quoting different prices but no part #. I usualy like to turn up with the part numbers as last time I went to my local stealer for an ECU vac hose I was informed by the on duty parts monkey that "an ECU doesnt ave a vac hose mate its electrical init" :2gunfire:

daves16v 1 Posted February 15, 2007 Had today off work so I decided to change the bolster, straight forward but just need to be careful with the fabric.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 16, 2007 Those little metal hooks are a swine if you get one in your finger too. Did you spot the blind stubs in the hinge side covers straight away or did you yank the cover off and snap them? I did the first time round, LOL! daves16v 1 Posted February 16, 2007 I followed the guide in the knowledge base but it wasn't too clear where they were. They're almost invisible.
Supercharged 2 Posted February 16, 2007 Plastic cable ties are a great replacement for the metal hooks!
