cormjah 0 Posted February 20, 2007 Alright there, has anyone got a switch they could sell to me? It's all a bit nuts on ebay. I can pay by paypal if that helps. Cheers - Cormac
Mr Sands 0 Posted February 20, 2007 You'll need to tell them whether you need early or late mate! Truth is, it can be better to bite the bullet on this one and buy new, despite the extortionate cost from the stealers. It's such a fragile part that a secondhand one might not last you too long anyway. If I recall correctly, there is a guide (in the wiki?) to repairing your switch (if it's late style) so it won't go again, a bit like dave16v's door handle repair. Edit: indeed there is a guide to D.I.Y. repair for late style switches in the Knowledge Base, and dave16v sells the appropriate reinforced metal parts in a kit. stevie_f_2004 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Agree with Fla...Buy the golf MK2 switch....I did the repair using the kit sold by the bloke on the forum lasted about 6 months before breaking up again...repaired again, three months later now the switch is completely shot....Bought a mk2 switch and it blends in well albeit, it doesn't light up.....who cares...I'm looking at fitting a buzzer to warn me about lights being left on as this a better warning than a poxy dim light on the original switch....
