joebrent 0 Posted October 24, 2003 what kind of psi should i be putting into my c? its a 1.8 16v with 17'' wheels  Thanks in advance
Sy_VW 0 Posted October 24, 2003 Aproximately 2 bar, so around 28-30 psi should be about right, thats what I have in mine!
joebrent 0 Posted October 24, 2003 same front and back??
Sy_VW 0 Posted October 24, 2003 I put 30 psi in all round. You can put more in the rear if you have an exceptionaly heavy load, but to be honest there must be few people that can be bothered to alter there pressures dependent on load.
dr_mat 0 Posted October 24, 2003 Most Corrados require slightly more than that, I thought, due to their weight - particularly at the front. But it depends on the width of your tyres... I can tell you that pressures too low kills the precision of the steering... FYI a VR6 requires 36psi in the front wheels and 33psi in the rear... akacheesy 0 Posted October 30, 2003 take a look on the inside of the drivers side door, there should be a plate there with a list of pressures required for both front & rear loaded & unloaded. I think all German cars have 'em there.
Linus Van Pelt 0 Posted October 30, 2003 FYI a VR6 requires 36psi in the front wheels and 33psi in the rear... Most bizarre... mine says 38 psi front and 33 psi rear... surely my engine's lighter :?: (or is that because of different tyres 195/50/15) DtM.
