JETTA 1.8 Syncro?

anyone know anything bout JETTA 1.8 Syncro's, ive just come across a 89 one as a postable daily driver. but im afraid i dont know much bout them, ive heard there bascily a straight 1.8?

and is that single injection or carb?

any info would be great thanks guys

Very very rare, I think less than 100 sold in the UK, another VW oddity but none the worse for it, buy it, keep it looking standard and drop a G60 in it - real Q car

My mates golf was excatly the same as a driver, only four-wheel drive. They don't seem to go for that much when you consider how rare they are.

Aye Best to upgrade to Rallye Running Gear if you plan to Upgrade the motor! Synchro driveshafts are like twigs when compared to rallye ones!

i used to own a jetta syncro with a 1.9 bottom end, gas flowed head etc etc

the spec was unreal

 

Handle fantastically & it wasn't shy with the top speed i pulled over 150 in it on a private road

the thing was nuts really really gutted i had to sell it but fell on hard times

 

RADO.001, what colour is the one your looking at?

8v gti. 1.9 bottom end, gas flowed head, piper cam, 4 branch theres more but can't remember

car was running the standard driveshafts

the colour was ford imperial blue

 

i had spoke to jody at midland vw about putting a g60 in there and it wasn't to hard a job to do
