Koni TA part numbers for H&R setup

As the title says - which are the correct TAs to go with the VR6 H&R springs ?

 

Fronts:

K-8741-1259SPORT @ £114.82

K-8710-1302SP20 @ £137.78

K-87-2508SPORT @ £100.36

 

Rear:

K-80-2587SPORT @ £60.39

K-80-2587SPD2 @ £73.14

K-8041-1108SPORT @ £79.95

Righto.

 

If you dig around on the interweb you will eventually find a Koni catalogue that explains it all but to save you the hassle here it is:

Front

The 1259 Sport one is top adjustable and gas filled.

 

The 2508 Sport is not top adjustable (must be adjustable on fit).

 

The 1302SP20 is top adjustable and shorter (15mm or 25mm not sure looking at the document) but is useless as there are no rears to match..

 

Rears

The 2587 is not top adjustable.

 

The 1108 Sport is top adjustable and gas filled.

 

I don't have the 2587 SPD2s on my document, must be a new thing. (Edit, just checked the new koni catalogue and they are not listed for Corrado on ther either)

 

So to sum up, if you want top adjustables then it has to be 1259 Sport and 1108 Sport, front and rear respectively.

 

Any shocker prefixed 80, 87 and 8741 is a twin tube hydraulic, 8041 is twin tube gas.

 

Q: What is the difference between KONI Special (red)

and KONI Sport (yellow)?

 

A: The KONI Special (red) has been engineered to maximize

the ride comfort with good handling performance for each

vehicle application. The KONI Sport (yellow) typically

starts at a higher initial valving baseline to give a sportier

feel and work on vehicles with higher performance parts.

In some instances, KONI will only offer a Special or Sport

valving and not both. Some modern cars come from the

factory with higher tech suspension systems and

wheel/tire packages so they would move directly into the

Sport range, however they are still valved to give a

comfortable ride with very good handling capabilities.
