The first VAG Services of the VR6..Advice??

I have looked through my service history book and noticed the first service was carried out at 6,970 miles, 9 months later one at just below 14,000 miles and another 6 months later at just under 20K miles.

 

Don't VAG recommend servicing be carried out at 10K miles or annually whichever comes first..?

 

How come my VR was serviced sooner..?

 

Any of you guys had similar servicing carried out to your VRs??..

12 months would be the minimum. Changing oil etc more regularly would be better still.

does it stack up with owner changes??

 

or it the car could have originally been a corporate purchase (manager-mobile)... you know, early nineties and still clinging to the Gorgon Gekko 'money no object' ethos of the eighties :lol:
