Hi all, iv been look for the right corrado for a long time and this one took my eye so i hat to have it, Seen the ad on here so some mite know the car

Well iv just booked it in to have the front bumper smoothed over and new bonnet with out the vents in, cant wiat to get it back, So i can start on the inside :)

After a few things going wrong on the corrado and there not being any shows for a while, I thought it was time for a few changes, so here goes :)

 

For a while now iv been wanting to strip the rear of my car out and lay some nice black carpet in the back and as im away for 3 weeks for work (back weekends) I decide to do it and get sally to retrim it. Here some pictures-

Fix Leak on rear spoiler

Few spots of rust to sort out in the back of the car

Use sound deading spray all over

Retrim Panels

Reroute Aqua mist and hide the bottle

ReFit all panels

New wheels

New sills

New chrome gas struts of the boot

Smooth front Bumper

Engine work Etc

 

After my car over heated yesterday on the way in to castle combe, I found the problem. It was the fan as it fell to bits as i took it off.

Need to order a new fan

New pipe work

Oil change

New front pads fitted

New hand brake cable

New bonnet cable

New HT leads

Aqua Mist motor

 

I will update the thread bit by bit

Right as the weather was nice today Me, chris and sally took full advantage:high5:

 

1st thing was to get all our stuff sorted out

Next on the list was to sort my leaking spoiler out, we found it to be the seel on the lifter

Here is the rear ready to be sanded down ready to be rust treated and repainted in anti rust paint

By the end of the day we had one side of the wood completed and the false floor frame done

again the weather was nice this morning so cracked on until the rain came

 

Front seats and carpet removed

Aquamist re-ran will be having chrome bottle instead of the plastic one

saw the corrado in the new PVW. page 120. nice choice of mods and paint you made :notworthy:

Todays Update and its a big one!

 

Got up early and took advantage of the weather. Got cracking and it looks great i think!

 

Found some more surface rust

So took care of it removing it and preserving the metal

I got all the front totally mint and gave it a quick coat of paint to protect it

Chris finished the boot and sally finished trimming the panels with the carpet i bought. I think it looks great, just waiting for my rear strut brace to arrive now!!

Only a little update today, Waiting on the black corrado carpet for the front and strut brace should be here this week

 

Where the rear strut brace is going you can see the white strut brace throw the wood and carpet

Then it was on to wiring the amp and the rear speakers up

well been busy yesterday trying to get most of it done

Gave the standard black carpet a wet and dry vag, then the head ache of putting it back in

Looking good mate.

 

You'll need to send your V5 off to get updated if you are no longer using the rear seatbelts as your car might be tested as a 4-seater next MOT and will fail instantly.
