Paint stripping, DIY or leave it to the experts?

Recommended Posts

After my recent blowout (and colliding with a kerb), I could really use a new front bumper. I've managed to source one from a breakers, but it's in the wrong colour (red).

I've got some quotes for getting it sprayed up, but it sounds like it's costing a wee bit more than I'd like as it would also involve taking all the existing paint off before respraying.

Anyone know if I can do this bit myself to save the pennies and if so how?

Cheers!

DtM.

why would the want to remove all the old red paint?unless its in a really bad way, they would normally just give it a quick rub down, primer it then spray it in your colour
