Also bearing in mind Sheffield is the city of steel, when they built them years ago they used imported steel as it was cheaper, bad move i'm afraid, they recently spent a couple of years restrenghtening the whole thing as it was unstable but had been for years, and guess what it's made it better but not as much as they thought it would. You actually feel the whole thing move when stationary on the underpass, i know it should flex but i have not been on any other bridge type structure that moves like it does.

 

So we have some of the best steel in the world apparently right on our doorstep and we use cheap crap :? clever move???
