Ok - who's changed a complete Corrado interior - carpets etc

Recommended Posts

Guys,

Looking for some help - my cream leather should be arriving this week. Was wanting to get it fitted at the weekend. I've changed 2 Corrado interiors previously - but didn't need to change carpets, headlining pillar trim etc.

Has anyone done everything? Any tips? Front seats, rear seats and doorcards are a piece of pish but how long would I be looking at for a complete swap?

Cheers

Couple of hours mate. Unless you're also doing the headlining in which case I've no Idea. I've heard that the headlining is a 2 man job thougth to stop the shape getting fcuked. Good luck and get some pics up asap. Might be worth shampooing the carpets before you fit them. I did that with my black ones and it's so much easier.

Cheers Grim,

That's exactly what I planned to do with the carpets. You came to mind when I posted this thread too!

How's married life?

Not really that much different to un-married life to be honest. Just a little wierd saying my wife as opposed to fiancee or girlfriend. Good luck with the swap over, it's worth the effort in the end. 8)

Are you doing the headlining too?

if so what colour is the one you are taking out?

I fancy a black one in place of my grey one.

Its not a bad job really...

Single most time consuming thing is the carpet id say, closely followed by the dash.Or the other way round depending how you do it.

Good time to tidy up the dash wiring, and possibly replace the bee sting aerial while you have the headlining out. 9which is held in by the surrounding plastics, and clipped into thew roof.

Neil.

Its not hard at all. I did it to my car a couple years ago. Unless you are changing to a late style dash from early. Then take 2 days to do it.

Do yourself a favor and scrub EVERYTHING before you put it back in. You will not regret it.

Also the black headliner is custom, US cars came in cream colored or in grey headliners
