my 1.8 valver wont start, help!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I had a strange problem with my 1.8 corrado 16v earlier.

Turning the key, the car would turn over, but never fire, not even when pumping the throttle.

when it did eventually start, all the dash lights flickered, and a loud clicking could be heard coming from the engine bay.

does this sound electrical perhaps?

or could it be the clifford immobiliser not disengaging properly? the light for the immobiliser went out as per usual to suggest this is working ok.

any advice would be a huge help, once started, the car ran fine!

It started spot on again last night, I went out and tried it, so will be off to work soon, so will see what it does then!

Genuine all the way on bits like this, around £20 at the moment. If you're stricken for cash the GSF ones will do the job but after talking to numerous people will only last a fraction of the time.
