2.0L 16v Injector removal how to...

I need to take off the injectors in order to take off the bottom air intake manifold - how do the injectors come out and what do I need to do to ensure that everything runs smoothly?

I believe it's just a question of getting a good grip of the base of the injector and giving it a bloody good pull.. be careful you don't do backwards into a wall or something when it finally lets go though :)

 

Ensure you have all new rubber seals, etc when you replace them!

There's a clip holding the injector in place, remove it then as Jim says give it a good pull.

you'll find it easier when the engine's warm and the rubber o-ring seals softer.

This is what i hoped to do when i removed mine, the job however was harder than the actual removal. managed to do 2 but no matter how hard i tried i couldn't do the others.

I noticed that this place does a Fuel Injector puller suitable for 8v's but also works on 16v's....
