lilfuzzer 1 Posted April 2, 2008 Hi there need some advice. Running a 93 vr6 and my current wheels are catching the are 18s (not quite to my taste) looking to upgrade to 8.5 or 9 inch wige by 16. Just thought it may be better to get them pulled and rolled first, so I can them save for the wheels. Any ideas for companys in the North east england area that would tackle such a job. Thanks

barryarginnraddo 0 Posted April 3, 2008 from experience of my 9" borbets, it seems much lower than stock and the arches badly foul the arches, even with a decent strech on. Im getting some arch work done on sat 12th and will update then, but im fearful this will almost certianly need paint.
lilfuzzer 1 Posted April 3, 2008 Want borbets on mine but sad that not available so going to have to settle for some others till I can get hold of some. Poss some steels for winter use but also this summer as it looks like! How low you running be keep catching?
barryarginnraddo 0 Posted April 22, 2008 ive now had both rear arches pulledby 3/4" this has left me neading oth rear 1/4 pannels spraying. It has given me enough space to run pretty low, however im going to set my coilovers lower to a point where it catches and then raise it enough not too. Imo 9" rears are a pain in the arse. Must say that they have done a great job and they are a great bunch of people and very helpful. Even though was quite a distance it was well worth it. Have left a set of steels to be widened so looking forward to utilising the new clearance because current wheels are looking quite lost. Just need to have the paint done, then save like crazy for next plan!

Philuk 0 Posted May 11, 2008 i wanna see what they actually look like pulled, did your rear arches have a good solid paint towork with, i have the feeling i might need mine touching back up when they are done as the arches look like they have had a bad spray in the past :( but nevermind! i need these wheels on! It had original paintwork, the front drivers was rusty the wing has slightly split, it seems inevitable that the paint will flake the rears that had good paint need some touching up. However did plan a respray this year anyway cause when bought the car there are stone chips all over front and car park dings in the drivers door.
